Four Months: Ellary Elizabeth ...

Ellary is 4 months old! {and yes I'm super late posting this but better late than never!}  This month we have really seen Ellary's personality come out and it is SO MUCH FUN getting to know this little human!

Ellary weighs 12 pounds and 9 ounces and is STILL in 0-3 month clothing {We're hoping to switch up the wardrobe soon!}

Ellary LOVES to be held ... and in fact will only nap if being held right now so the baby carrier comes out A LOT!  We had a busy month with finish up Cherry Festival and vacationing in Nortport.  Ellary successfully slept through kids night, picking cherries, a Peterson Park sunset, picking raspberries, and climbing Pyramid Point - yes, the Baby K'tan is my best friend :)

Ellary continues to love tubby time and being read to.

She also enjoyed some family time - and good old Uncle Trevor :)

She is ALL smiles when someone joins her in the backseat of the car ... but if she's back there alone sister friend is NOT happy!  Makes for some potentially very long car rides if we don't time it just right with naps.

Mommy's college friends came up to meet Ellary with all their kiddos and we enjoyed an afternoon in downtown TC ... Ellary slept most of the time in her carrier, shocking. :)

While Dad was working at the bike shop Mommy and Ellary ventured to Dewitt to spend some time with Uncle Trevor, Aunt Katie, and the kiddos --- we definitely have not stayed in one place for very long this summer and are so thankful that Ellary is {for the most part} a great traveling baby!  Even when traveling Ellary will only get up 1-2 in the middle of the night, eat and go right back to sleep which has been so nice!

We have been working on rolling over this month ....

And were finally successful in going from back to tummy!! Both Mommy and Daddy were home and saw it happen which was pretty special!

Ellary Elizabeth,

We love to SO very much!! Your daily giggles melt my heart and I have no idea how I'm going to leave you to return to work in less than a month. This time together this summer is something I will forever cherish sweet girl!

I love you to the moon and back baby girl!

Love,
Your Momma

Three Months: Ellary Elizabeth ...

Ellary celebrated three months of being on the outside on the 4th of July, what better day to celebrate?!

Ellary is moving and grooving CONSTANTLY now - her little arms are always swinging and her legs are kicking away! It's been so fun to see her excited movements :)

We tipped the scale at 11 pounds 6 ounces this month - still our little peanut but growing ;) We're in size one diapers still and rocking out or 0-3 month clothing.

Ellary made her first trip down to Grand Rapids this month, a good time for all as she even went to her first BAR! :)

We celebrated Father's Day - Dad got to go biking while Mom and Ellary went shopping, a win for all involved :)

Ellary had her first "babysitter" too - Grandma watched her so that Mom and Dad could go out for their three year anniversary.

We made sure to go pick her up so that she could make her first trip to Moomers - she slept the whole time ...

Otis still likes to show Ellary some love - and Ellary loves to watch her puppy dog.

Ellary beat Dad by getting on a sail boat younger than he did by three months.  Once again, Ellary slept through this first experience.

We rounded out month three with some other big first - first National Cherry Festival ...

AND first 4th of July ...!

Ellary Elizabeth,

This month you have found your sweet little voice and smile and coo and Mom & Dad like crazy.  We love the new interactions from you as you bring so much joy into our lives.  We don't wish for you to grow up too fast, but all of these firsts are so very exciting to experience with you.

I love you to the moon and back baby girl!

Love,
Your Momma

A weekend getaway ...

This past weekend we ventured up to Northport to spend some time with the hubs parents. We were pretty excited to take Ellary sailing for the first time ... and I think she was excited too :)

Saturday was a beautiful day - we so love this marina! A perfect summer place!

Of course, eye protection was a must with the bright sun ;)

Ellary fell asleep before we took off sailing.  We put her down below in her carseat right where the hubs used to spend time in his carseat when he first started sailing at 6 months {Ellary beat him by a couple months ;)}

When she started to stir I quickly transferred her to the life jacket to bring her up above ....

And it was a success because she slept the WHOLE time!

It was the perfect weather for a nice cruise in the boat - I was brave when we started to heel, I had a baby in my arms after all ;)

Ellary woke up once we were back in the marina and she was ready to rock and roll ;)

We ended the day with dinner down at the marina and then a nice walk out on the break wall.

Sunday was a lazy cool day spent hanging out at the house - Ellary loves her puppy so much, Otis still isn't too sure about it ;)

Ellary slept the whole drive back home and after a rough nights sleep up north, we think she just missed her bed as she passed out as soon as she was put in it when we returned home :)

Happy 3 Years ...

This week we celebrated our THIRD wedding anniversary!! My oh my how time FLIES!

Never did we think that three year later we'd have a fur baby and a real baby ;)

For our special day we headed up north so that Grandma could watch Ellary {we had to twist her arm you know} and we ventured out to dinner ...

We treated our selves to dinner at Apache Trout and Grill -- such delicious food and a beautiful view, what could be better?

We were told there could be no talk about Ellary ... yeah, we made it pretty far into dinner without talking about her but eventually she did come up ;)

After dinner we enjoyed some family time to let the food settle before dessert ;)

Of course it should be no surprise we took Ellary on her first visit to moomers for a special treat ... too bad she slept through it all :)

It was a great day and so hard to believe three years have already flown by!

And just because, a picture of the sweetest girl in all the land :)
