So fresh and so clean ...

The hubs thought it was about time to give the pup a bath - he said he was stinky so a bath was a must.

Otis wasn't too sure about what was happening to him ...

And once we got him wet - that puff of a fur ball, well he kind of looked like a drowned rat!

He wasn't too thrilled to say the least, and wanted out of there ASAP!

Then came the time to restore the fluff ...

I must admit when we started blow drying him I was a little worried that his fluff wouldn't come back ...

But, our handsome puff ball did return ...

And we learned a good bath is a great way to have him pass out for a couple hours :)

Christmas Break ...

We're officially on break {as of yesterday} and we're all about being lazy here!

Fog Day ...

This morning I got up to let Otis out {who ROCKED it on his first night in his crate by the way!} and the hubs told me there was no school.  I didn't believe him because I had just been outside and I didn't think it was bad out at all -- but sure enough there was a message on my phone too that school was closed because of fog.

Whoooo hooo!

A totally unexpected, but oh so welcomed day off - and the day after we got Otis, it couldn't have been better timing!

So, we enjoyed the day with this fella ...

I might have even pulled him into bed for some morning snuggles, yes - I'm guilty!

We were so happy how our first night went with him {knock on wood!}.  We got up every two hours to let him outside .. he went outside and went potty right away - just one time he had a little accident in his crate.  And, when he was put in there he would cry for maybe 5 minutes then was OUT! :)

We enjoyed playing with him this morning ...

And both the boys took a little morning nap ...

Seriously, he's just so darn cute!

I ventured over to school for a little to get some work done without the distraction of the kinders, the hubs kept texting me pictures of Otis changing his sleeping location - silly pup is he!

We even brought Otis over to school to deliver some Christmas goodies to some of the staff there - he won over lots of hearts! :)

We bought Otis a bed today too and he is adjusting pretty well to it :)

My parents even came down this evening to bring my car back to me {grr for getting new brakes and tires just a week before Christmas!} and to meet Otis of course!

I think Dad was a little disappointed that Otis just wanted to sleep :)

It's such a rough life being a puppy :)

Our Boy ...

Today is the day that the Hubs and I have been counting down to - it's PUPPY DAY!

We were so excited to pick up Otis today - and he still is as cute as we remember!

He did really great on our two hour car ride home - cuddling up with me ...

He slept most of the way and was just relaxing for part too ...

We did take a little stretch and potty break too :)

And now that we're home, he's just been chilling.

We had a couple friends stop over to meet him ... and they were won over by his cuteness :)

He scarfed down his dinner - apparently he still thinks he has to compete against his litter mates :)

He even already climbed into his cage to take a snooze - one thing that we were shocked by!

And really he just likes to be by us - he's already become our little shadow.

The Hubs and I have both said how we can't believe this is real - we're used to watching peoples dogs but giving then back.  This one is ours, forever.

Now we're just hoping to get some sleep tonight! :)

Graduation Time ...

This past weekend we ventured down to GR to be a part of the Hub's sisters graduation ....

We are so very proud of her!  For the last 2 years she's been in PA school - crazy schedules, all over the place {location wise} and lots of studying .... but she did it!

It was a fun couple days eating delicious food, having some yummy drinks, and celebrating!

Many congratulations to Margie who is now officially a PA!

One more week ...

In one week we get to pick up this little guy!

To say we are excited is an understatement ... and when we saw this updated picture of him our response was, "Oh look, he likes the red solo cup just like us!" :)

We cannot wait to have Otis at home with us!

Tree Farm Fun ...

When we traveled downstate for Thanksgiving, we decided to stay a couple days with my brother and his family.  We really don't get to see them that often {My sister-in-law works weekends so time with her is oh so treasured!} so we thought the extra couple days down there would be perfect!

Friday morning we "slept in" and then the girls went shopping, the hubs went fat tire bike riding, and my brother stayed home with the kiddos. :)

We all met back at the house that afternoon to head out and get their Christmas tree!  Now, being literally from Christmas Tree Country - I was kind of curious to see what we would find here downstate.

The not-so-little farm we went to was so cute!  They had tons of animals for you to walk around and see, a train to visit santa, and then a wagon ride out into the tree field.

Little C. loved all the animals!

Bunnies {I told her to watch it because I stuck my hand in and one of the put a hole in my mitten!}

Is this Llama your momma?!

The cutest little piglets, I wanted to take them all home!

Seriously, how cute is this guy!?

C. got a big kick out of the goats...

The convenient hole for them to stick their head through - genius!  C just kept giggling at him :)

Some Reindeer ....

Even some ponies that the hubs was clearly very excited about (horses are his favorite don't you know, NOT!)

It was chillier than we anticipated - seeing as the sun was out when we left the house and when we arrived it was gone and the snow started flying! So, lots of cuddles were needed!

And apparently Uncle D is the best at cuddles :)

It was fun to be able to explore the property - there was so much to see!

Sadly, we were a little disappointed with the selection of trees when we actually got out to the field.  We ended up coming back to the "farm" and my brother and SIL picked one off the tree lot there that was freshly cut down just a couple days earlier.

I must stay, we are a little spoiled living in tree country - we can go out to a tree field here and cut down ANY tree we'd like for $20, no matter the size.  Trees here ranged from $60 - $85, yikes!

By the end of our adventure little miss A. was all tuckered out, of course Aunt Kari still has the magic touch ;)

Another fun adventure to put in the books!
