Film Fest ...

My mom has the three little loves for the week - so I ventured down to TC to take in the Kids Fest activities with them.  This is usually a favorite activity for the kids {somehow they always end up being up here around this time!}.  I mean, who wouldn't love getting all dressed up?!

And I even got roped into making a flip book with the little man {how could I say no?!}

There were balloon creations ...

and cartoon drawings ...

and karate learning ...

And board breaking ...

And smokey the bear {for Uncle Trevor} ...

And more Karate learning ...

And face painting ...

And touring the ambulance ...

What more could you ask for?!?

Beach Day ...

My summer is typically spent at the beach - definitely not something to complain about!  However, since the hubs is teaching on the water - I'm often sitting at the beach by myself.  I get LOTS of reading done, but sometimes it's nice to have some company.  So, I was beyond excited when my mom and three little loves were going to come do a beach day!

And lets just say - I do think they love Northport beach as much as I do!

There wasn't a cloud in the sky - it was hot, but not too hot to be cooled off by a nice dip in the water ...

And these three loves spent A LOT of time in the water!

We had some more special visitors too as my Central Grade girls made the trek up with their kiddos.  So that made for 11 kiddos total and 5 adults - lots of fun!

The little loves loved seeing these kids that they typically see only once a year ...

And the way they all get along and pick up right where they left off - it's pretty magical.  I love this innocence in children!

Lots of time was spent in the water ...

And at the park ... {not pictured because I was always by the water!}

And reconnecting with friends ...

And eventually when Uncle Dustin got done working - he even took a dip with the kiddos to cool off  :)

Definitely a fun day had by all!
{and just a little sunburn to remember it all by!}

Bad Harbor Beach ...

We are trying to soak in as much time with friends this summer as possible ... which means lots of beach nights.  Honestly, we aren't complaining!

The pup, while he really is a water loving dog!  The water was a bit chilly which, lets be honest, must have felt heavenly to the sweet pup in such hot and humid weather.

He didn't wait a second and ran into it as soon as we got to the beach.

As we were rock hunting {I found SEVEN petoskey stones}, Frisbee throwing, and enjoying pizza on the beach ... a bald eagle flew over us with his own dinner and landed in a nearby tree.  A beach to ourselves, Lake Michigan, and a bald eagle --- pure bliss right there!

And the pup, while like I said, he just doesn't stop!

We may have forced him to take a breather or too.  See if you throw a rock into the water he is bound and determined to get said rock.  He'll stick his head under water searching for it, he'll whine, and then he'll start digging and bring a rock back up the beach as far as he can.  It's quite comical!

But he doesn't stop - at all.  We were noticing him shivering from the cold and decided he needed a little break.  However, wrapping him up seemed to be a little difficult --- pretty sure he knew what we were thinking and he wasn't okay with that idea :)

So we did wrap him up and held him for a bit to dry him off and warm him up ...

And the pup might have sat there whining to get back in the water the entire time, he is a water loving pup after all!

And with this gang, I can't blame him for loving being right in the action.

So he begs and usually gets his way of getting back into the water :)  {He's a spoiled pup after all!}

He fell asleep again on the way home {complete with snoring} and then was given a bath because a water lovin' pup is a sandy pup!   Lets just say he wasn't too thrilled with the bath :)

We can't wait for our next adventure!

Judah Jay ...

The family grew by one member last week!  My brother's family added a BOY to the mix with his two precious girls!

Judah Jay was born 7/12 weighing in at 8lb 2oz and 20.5 inches long.

So, of course when my parents were going down to visit I jumped at the chance to join them and meet the new bundle of joy!

He seriously is the cutest little thing ever, and so tiny!  I forget as the little loves grow so quickly just how tiny they start out!

And yes, it may have made my ovaries ache just a little bit holding him ...

 He seems to be such a content, easy going little baby - but lets be honest, us 3rd borns are pretty spectacular ;)

I enjoyed some baby snuggles as the family all went to swim lessons one morning for the girls, and to church the next - staying back at home to help my sister-in-law out and give her some extra sleep as I tended to Judah Jay {and I only got peed on during one diaper change - ha!}

His big sisters are pretty proud and love to swing him and give him loving.

The weekend wouldn't be complete without some snapchat ...

Of course, Judah wanted in on the action too! ;)

A great visit in deed, can't wait to see them all again next month when the WHOLE family will be vacationing together!
